Darwin Nguyen, DO

Internal Medicine

Dr. Darwin Nguyen was born and raised in Houston and is glad to be back practicing medicine in the city he calls home. He and his wife were both raised here, and with family still in the area, coming back to practice in Houston felt like an easy decision. He earned his bachelor's degree in Biology from Houston Baptist University (now Houston Christian University) and his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the University of the Incarnate Word School of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at Methodist Dallas Medical Center, whose comprehensive curriculum gave him a strong foundation in managing complex acute and chronic medical conditions

Dr. Nguyen was drawn to Internal Medicine for its breadth and the chance to care for patients through every stage of adulthood. Colleagues and patients often describe him as approachable, patient, and nonjudgmental. Others point to his attentiveness to detail, thoroughness, and calm demeanor under pressure. His goal is simple: listen carefully, ask the right questions, and make sure every patient feels heard. His extensive training means he is equipped to handle everything from routine preventive care to more complex, multi-system conditions, with a particular interest in chronic disease management.

Fluent in English and conversational in Vietnamese, Dr. Nguyen enjoys being able to connect with patients in their own language.

Outside of the clinic, he enjoys spending time with family, friends, and his cats, playing video games, collecting trading cards, following the NBA, and traveling to experience and learn about new cultures. He looks forward to building lasting relationships with his patients here in Houston.  Dr. Nguyen is fluent in English and Vietnamese, and CI Medical Center's staff are fluent in English, Vietnamese and Spanish.
